William Courtenay 
William was born about 1386 in Powderham Castle, Devon, Eng. William's father was Sir Philip Courtenay and his mother was Anne Wake. His paternal grandparents were Hugh de Courtenay and Margaret de Bohun. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Sir John, Agnes and Margaret. He was the youngest of the five children.
