John Chetwynd 
John was born in 1354 in Caen, Normandy, France. John's father was William Chetwynd and his mother was Matilda Verdon. His paternal grandparents were Philip Chetwynd and Alice de Grendon; his maternal grandfather was Sir John Verdon. He had three brothers named Philip, William and Richard. He was the second youngest of the four children.-
