Edmund was born about 1456 in Drinksrone, Suffolk, Eng. Edmund's father was Edmund Bacon and his mother was Elizabeth Crofts. His paternal grandparents were John Bacon and Margarey Thorpe; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Crofts and Susan Polley. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, Francis, John and Mary. He was the youngest of the five children.-
