Samuel Pugh 
Samuel was born in 1815 in Va. Samuel's father was Evan Pugh and his mother was Elizabeth Ayles. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Pugh and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were David Ayles and Susan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named David, John, Evan, Elias, Cynthia Ann, Eliza, Sarah and Susana. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died about November 1862 in Pinckneyville, Perry Co., Il. He was buried in Greenbriar Cemetary, Pinckneyville, Il.General Notes
