James W. was born about 1861 in VA. James W.'s father was Joseph Mitchell and his mother was Elender Nellie WILLIAMSON. His paternal grandparents were John Mitchell and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Richard WILLIAMSON and Jane "Jenny" WILEY.
