James Monroe was born on November 10th, 1859 in Athens, Henderson Co, Tx. James Monroe's father was Joshua Burette Luker Jr and his mother was Julia A McWilliams. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Burette Luker and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Watson A McWilliams and Anna Whittington. He had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas Porter, Elizabeth Lavina, Sara Ann, Mycenia, Cora Ida, Mary Ella and Euginia. He died at the age of 63 on March 16th, 1923 in Athens, Henderson Co, Tx.General Notes
