Elizabeth Carney 
Elizabeth was born about 1735 in VA. Elizabeth's father was Thomas Carney and her mother was Wright. Her paternal grandfather was Richard Carney. She had three brothers and a sister, named Absalom, Barnaby, Richard and Elizabeth. She died in 1790 in Chesterfield Co., VA.
Elizabeth and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony before 1756. They had seven sons and a daughter, named Thomas, Marmaduke Ransom, David, Samuel, John, Joshua, Carney and Elizabeth.

Marmaduke Ransom was born on November 12th, 1772 in Bertie Co., NC. He died at the age of 59 in 1831 in Anson Co., Nc.
