Robert was born about 1556 in Bury,St. Edmonds,Suffolk,England. Robert's father was Thomas Bright and his mother was Margaret Payton Jervis. His paternal grandparents were Walter Bright and Mrs. Margaret (Bright). He had three brothers and nine sisters, named Thomas, Henry, Jasper, Kathrine, Margaret, Mary, Joan, Kathrine, Joan, Susan, Alice and Anne. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, Henry, Mary (Marie), Susan, Catherine and Katherine. He died on December 24th, 1630.General Notes
