Duncan succeeds his grandfather and uncle as ruler of Pictish, Scottish,
Anglo, and Briton lands, and further pushes into England in 1034. He is
killed by MacBeth, the Mormaer (high official) of Moray, who claims the
throne through his and his wife's
ancestry. Macbeth seems to have been a good king and went on pilgramage
to Rome in 1050.
