Edward's father was Edmund Wessex and his mother was Edith Ealdgyth UNKNOWN. His paternal grandparents were Ethelred II Wessex and ELFREDA UNKNOWN. He was an only child. He died in 1057.1 General Notes

Some say he married Agatha daughter of Stephen, and some say Agatha was
the daughter of Henry II of Germany. Stephen is accepted as being
incorrect,
and other more complex relationships have been postulated. One has been

Margaret "the Exile" was born in 1045 in Hungary.1 She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle. She was buried in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, Scotland.1 1
