Jacob Graf 
Jacob was born on June 4th, 1737 in Earl Township, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, U.S.A..1 Jacob's father was Hans (John) Graf and his mother was Elizabeth Carpenter Zimmerman. His paternal grandparents were Hans Conrad Graeff and Ursula Neukomm; his maternal grandparents were Heinrich (Henry Carpenter) Zimmerman and Salome Ruffner. He had two brothers and two sisters, named George, Henry, Elizabeth and Catharine. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 82 on August 15th, 1819 in Sharpsburg, Washington Co., Maryland, U.S.A..1 General Notes

Jacob Graf, the oldest son of Hans Graf Jr and Elizabeth Carpenter was a Physician and a man of prominence in the locality in which he lived. He came to Maryland in 1765 and signed the Oath of Fidelity and suport to the State of Maryland in 1778. In 1780 he lent the sum of five hundred dollars for the use of the State of Maryland. He names his children in his will.
