Emerentienne's father was Joseph Fallu and her mother was Leocadie Leblanc.  Her paternal grandparents were Lazare Fallu and Tatienne Landry. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Armand Rene, Arsene, Leandre, Leopold, Marcel, Roland, Lea, Marie-Ange and Marie-Jeanne.
