Note:"Jane Estes Barker Bordwine, was a third daughter born to Lewis and Anna Farris Estes. She was born 31 Dec 1827 and died 25 Feb 1912. Her name at time of death was Jane Bordwine. Sedgewick Funeral book lists her as the daughter of Lewis Estes and Anna farris. Lewis Estes was living with her in the 1870 census, Fulton Co., IL and there is a newspaper item that my great grandfather, John Robert Barker, was out hunting with his cousin, Oliver Pollitt, when they met Abraham Lincoln. For some odd reason he told the story in his wife's 0bit. She( for whom the obit was writen was my great grandmother, Rebecca Shaw Barker."

"Hi Chad: . . .  You probably realize that two of Lewis Estes' siblings also married Farris family members.  It is not known if Anna was a sister or a first Cousin to the other two.  Elizabeth Farris married John Farris and  Jeremiah Farris Married Roseanna Estes. Ann and Lewis' eldest daughter Mary Elizabeth Estes married Alexander Pollitt.  The third and youngest daughter Emeline "Emily" Estes married Alvin Oliver Pollitt, a brother to Alexander Pollitt.  Jane the middle daughter married Hiram Barker.  They had eight children; John Robert Barker married Rebecca Shaw; Juliana died young; Allen Barker married  Margaret Stufflebeam; Druzilla Barker married Joseph Hamilton Brown and Samuel Bates, Sarah Evelyn Barker married John Henry Bordwine [her step-brother] Emaline Cordelia married George A Rock; William Barker and Rebecca Barker seem to have died young.  Hiram Barker died in 1864 and left Jane with nothing bur children to raise in 1872 Lewis Bordwine's second wife died and he married Mrs. Jane Barker.  It does get worse, Mary Elizabeth's daughter Sarah Pollitt married Henry Shaw.  Emily Pollitt's daughter Laura Ann Pollitt married Isaac Shaw.  Rebecca Shaw, Henry and Issac Shaw were siblings and children of Robert Shaw and Catherine Bordner Shaw. . .  Betty Bower"
