Carey Pendleton was born on September 13th, 1854 in Ashville, North Carolina.1 Carey Pendleton's father was John Hamilton Estes and his mother was Mary Patton. His paternal grandparents were John Bacon Estes and Rebecca Travathan; his maternal grandparents were James Patton and Mary P. Janes. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James Tecumschie, Robert Graves, John Patton, Cadmus LeRoy, Leslie Blaine, Francis, Sarah E., Bevly Memphis Memminger and Geneva. He died at the age of 52 on January 17th, 1907 in Herford, TX.1 -
