Johannes Dahl 
Johannes was born in 1856 in Ovstedal, Voss, Norway.1 Johannes' father was Johannes Torkjelson Ovstedal and his mother was Ingeborg Ingebrigtsdtr Bolstad. His paternal grandparents were Torkjel Johannesson Ovstedal and Marta Knutsdtr Horvei; his maternal grandfather was Ingebrigt Ivarson Gullbra. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Torkjel, Nils, Albert, Marta, Maria, Brunild and Marjo. He was the second youngest of the eight children.-
