Brunild Dahl 
Brunild was born in 1851 in Ovstedal, Voss, Norway.1 Brunild's father was Johannes Torkjelson Ovstedal and her mother was Ingeborg Ingebrigtsdtr Bolstad. Her paternal grandparents were Torkjel Johannesson Ovstedal and Marta Knutsdtr Horvei; her maternal grandfather was Ingebrigt Ivarson Gullbra. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Torkjel, Nils, Johannes, Albert, Marta, Maria and Marjo. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
