Cornelius was born on December 10th, 1640 in Thornbury,England. Cornelius' father was Richard Thayer and his mother was Dorothy De Mortimer. His paternal grandparents were Richard Thayer and Ursula Alice II Dimery; his maternal grandparents were William De Mortimer and Margaret Mortwife.
