His paternal grandparents were Guillaume Le Boiteux De Penhoët and Jeanne De Fronsac; his maternal grandparents were Geoffroy Ier Du Perrier and Plaizou De Quintin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Alain, Guillaume, Jean, Jeanne, Béatrix and Isabeau.-
