His paternal grandparents were Johann Christian Klappenbach Und Bohnestiehl and Friederike Ernestine Louise Seibert Siebert. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Félix Santiago, Agustín, Eduardo Miguel, Agustina, Carolina, Josefina Carolina and Virginia. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
