Irineo was born about 1863 in , Treinta Y Tres, Uruguay. Irineo's father was Jose (Joseph) Guasque Hidalgo and his mother was Maria Josefa Olivera. His paternal grandparents were Jose Guasque Cardoso and Maria Hidalgo; his maternal grandparents were Jose Rafael De Olivera and Felizarda Mendez. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Longino, Casio, Lidio, Emilia F. and Cecilia. He was the oldest of the six children. He died in Santa Clara, Treinta Y Tres, Uruguay.-
