His paternal grandparents were Mateo Francisco Gonzalez and Transita Silveira; his maternal grandparents were Albino Wenceslao Silveira and Felicia Ferreira. He had two brothers and a sister, named Radames, Transita and Adelaida. He died in 6ª O 7ª Secc., Cerro Largo, Uruguay.-
