Beatriz Gonçalves' father was Rodrigo Afonso and her mother was Mécia Gonçalves. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Pero Rodrigues, Rui, Afonso, Sebastião, Mécia Rodrigues, Branca Rodrigues, Catarina Rodrigues and Isabel Rodrigues.
