Gerberge was born about 0985. Gerberge's father was Godefroid Ier Le Captif De Limbourg and her mother was Mathilde Billung De Saxe. Her paternal grandparents were Gozelon De Basse-Lorraine and Oda De Metz; her maternal grandparents were Hermann Billung De Saxe and Hildegarde De Westerbourg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Gozelon Ier Le Grand, Frédéric and Irmengarde. She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Hermann, Arnulf II Le Jeune, Bonne and Ermentrude. She died about 1030.-
