Ingelbert III was born about 1035.  Ingelbert III's father was Ingelbert II De Peteghem and his mother was Glismode N....  His paternal grandfather was Ingelbert Ier De Peteghem. He had a brother named Hugues.  He was the older of the two children.

He had a biological son named Ingelbert IV.
