Raoul II was born about 1095. Raoul II's father was Raoul Ier De Nesle and his mother was Ramentrude D'eu. His paternal grandfather was Drogon De Nesle; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume Busac D'eu and Adélaïde De Soissons. He had a brother named Jean Ier. He was the younger of the two children.
