Her paternal grandparents were Bruno Ier Billungen D'ostphalie and Gisèle De Souabe; her maternal grandparents were Hugues IV De Nordgau and Hedwige De Dagsbourg. She had a brother and a sister, named Ekbert Ier Billungen and Gertrude. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 31 in 1058.-
