John Whitley

John was born on January 1st, 1785.¹   John's father was John Whitley and his mother was Margaret Hagerman.  His paternal grandparents were John Whitley and Mary Tucker; his maternal grandparents were John Hagerman and Phoebe Ferguson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Henry, Jane and Sarah.  He was the oldest of the five children.
