Sylvester Elsworth Varner 
Sylvester Elsworth was born on January 14th, 1870 in Iowa.1 Sylvester Elsworth's father was John Nelson Varner and his mother was Mary "Libby" Elizabeth Cress. His paternal grandparents were John "Johnny" Varner Jr and Irena Emma Andrews; his maternal grandparents were William Cress and Jane P Cumming. He had four brothers named John Alvin, George Nelson, Clarence Coltson and William Arthur. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Leroy Edward, Jay Dee and Ida Mae. He died at the age of 80 on February 23rd, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was buried in Bell Cemetery, Palestine.1 1 -
