John was born in 1658 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Mass.1   John's father was Richard Sisson and his mother was Mary Freeman. He had two brothers and three sisters, named George, James, Mary, Elizabeth and Anne.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 29 in 1687 in Newport, Newport, RI.1

‌John and Mary 6 were married in a religious ceremony about 1679 in Newport, Newport, RI.1   They had a son and a daughter, named John and Mary.
