Amelia Olina Paulson 
Amelia Olina was born on September 17th, 1889 in Midvale, Utah.1 Amelia Olina's father was James O. Poulson and her mother was Olina Anna Andersen. Her paternal grandparents were Oke Pahlsson and Bengta Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Anderson and Anna Pederson. She had three sisters named Mary Altina, Sophia Ellenova and Anna Larenda. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Betsy V.. She died at the age of 81 on December 6th, 1970 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.1 General Notes
The recollection of some of the grandchildren is that Amelia was quite stern and a bit forbidding, not soft, tender or forgiving. Ricky, however, remebers her differently, as being always concerned that he got whatever he wanted or needed when he was visiting.
Some time after Fritz died, Amelai moved to 145 South 3rd Street in Salt Lake City. That is the address she used for her application for Widow's Insurance AnnuitY.
While a tea-totaler while Fritz was alive, after his death Amelica, perhaps out of loneliness, took to drink, often to excess.

Amelia Olina and Fredrick Fritz were married in a religious ceremony on January 6th, 1908 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.2 They had four sons named Ross Fredrick, Blaine, Darrell and Joe.
Family Notes
Like many couples in the 1930s, Fritz and Amelia struggled during the Depression, especially since Frtiz had been "dismissed" from his railroad job. At least he had the custodial job. Still the tress was hard. One night, Fritz and Amelia were to go out to meet with some influential people. Amelia wore a dress she had purchased for a small sum. When Fritz saw her in the cheap dress, the anger and the hardship and the humiliation overcame him and he literally torn the dress off of Amelia. (Story related by Joe Bonny 1 June 2002).

Ross Fredrick was born on June 2nd, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.1 He died in Houston, Harris, Texas. He was buried in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston, Harris, Texas.1
