Fredrick Fritz and Amelia Olina were married in a religious ceremony on January 6th, 1908 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.1 They had four sons named Ross Fredrick, Blaine, Darrell and Joe.
Family Notes
Like many couples in the 1930s, Fritz and Amelia struggled during the Depression, especially since Frtiz had been "dismissed" from his railroad job. At least he had the custodial job. Still the tress was hard. One night, Fritz and Amelia were to go out to meet with some influential people. Amelia wore a dress she had purchased for a small sum. When Fritz saw her in the cheap dress, the anger and the hardship and the humiliation overcame him and he literally torn the dress off of Amelia. (Story related by Joe Bonny 1 June 2002).
