John Henry Markin

John Henry was born on October 1st, 1857 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.¹   John Henry's father was Charles William Markin and his mother was Delitha Jacks.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Markin and Rebecca Deckard; his maternal grandparents were Ivan Jacks and Aletha Macomber. He had five brothers named Ebenezer, Thomas G, George Washington, Alexander and Charles.  He was the third youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 77 on October 17th, 1934 in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.¹ 

They had three sons and two daughters, named John, Jesse C, Romulus Johnson, Frankie B and Bullea.
