Sorilda Jane was born on January 11th, 1844 in Aid, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 Sorilda Jane's father was Abner Dilley and her mother was Armilda Russell. Her paternal grandparents were Jr. Dilley John and Elizabeth Ackland aka Eckland; her maternal grandparents were John Russell and Hannah "Patience" Rankin. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Albert R., Abram Newton, Harriet, Amissetta, Charity Ella and Hester Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died due to Pleuro Pneumonia at the age of 58 in April 1902 in Buried at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 -
