Alva Sherman Collins 
Alva Sherman was born on May 5th, 1891.1 Alva Sherman's father was Seth Hezekiah Collins and his mother was Emaline (Molly) Markin. His maternal grandparents were James M. Markin and Elizabeth (Betsey) Blankenship. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John William, William Pearl, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Mary Isabella and Rosa Ann. He was the youngest of the seven children.-
