William H. was born in 1812 in Franklin County, Virginia.1 William H.'s father was James Allen and his mother was Anna Collier. His paternal grandfather was James Allen; his maternal grandfather was John Collier. He was an only child. He died at the age of 81 on December 27th, 1893 in Died at son-in-law's home, John G Keyes. William was born in Franklin County, Virginia. Came to Lawrence County,Ohio when about 12 years old, with his parents. Trip was made with one horse which the mother rode, with father and William walking. (Refer to memories by John L. Allen). William died at his home on Ice Creek, Lawrence County, Ohio. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He is buried in the Allen Cemetery, Deering, Ohio.
