Her paternal grandparents were James IV Stuart and Sophia VON MECKLENBURG-GÜSTROW . She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Andrew, Margaret, Anne Or Elizabeth, Christian, Jean and Mary. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She had nine half-brothers and six half-sisters, named John, James, Arthur Prince Of, Adam, Robert, James III, James I, James, James, Lucy, Janet (Jean), Katherine, Elizabeth, Catherine and Jean.
