Mathurin was born in 1741 in Grand Pre,Acadie.1 Mathurin's father was Paul Richard. His paternal grandparents were Pierre Richard and Marguerite Landry. He had three brothers and a sister, named Aimee-Amand, Pierre, Jacques and Marie Madeleine. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 54 on December 26th, 1795 in Opelousas,La.1 -
