James Newton

James was born in 1834.  James' father was Samuel Newton and his mother was Kitturah Poates.  His paternal grandparents were James Newton and Nancy Gill; his maternal grandmother was Winny. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, William H., David, Sarah and Francis Ann.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
