Robert was born about 1768.1 Robert's father was John Yocum and his mother was Mary (Yocum). His paternal grandparents were Mathias Yoakum and Elinor See. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Francis M, William, Jacob Preston, George, John H, Susannah, Eleanor, Mary, Nancy and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.General Notes
