Jacob Preston Yocum 
Jacob Preston was born about 1778 in VA.1 Jacob Preston's father was John Yocum and his mother was Mary (Yocum). His paternal grandparents were Mathias Yoakum and Elinor See. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Francis M, William, George, John H, Susannah, Eleanor, Mary, Nancy and Sarah. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died on July 10th, 1833 in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co, KY.1 General Notes

a relative East of Macomb, Illinois and had brought it back to his
home hear Bynumville, MO and and kept it for a short time. The Bible
is probably still in that neighborhood (Illinois)." Copy of memo
given to Gregg Kinney by Joyce Hagerty in September 1996. Joyce
received her copy from Georgia Kelsey.
