Jonas Whipkey 
Jonas was born about 1830 in Somerset County, Pennslyvania.1 Jonas' father was David Whipkey and his mother was Mary Henry. His paternal grandparents were Henry B Whipkey and Elizabeth Keefer. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Jacob W, Silas, Elizabeth, Mary, Susanna, Eva Ann, Rachel and Nancy A. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died in 1912 in Mt. Carmel Cemetary, Springbull Township, Greene Co., Penn.1 General Notes
