Bassett Warren 
Bassett was born in 1869 in Laurel County, Kentucky. Bassett's father was Robert Warren and his mother was Sophia Wood. His paternal grandparents were POWELL Warren and Polly Newmon; his maternal grandparents were John Woods and Ann Cromer. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Sidney, John, Dora, Martha, Mary Susan and Almira. He died about 1942. He was buried in Pineville, Kentucky.General Notes
According to Jack Warren, grandson of Bassett, in an email to Rod Warren, 1/19/2001, Bassett was a coal miner in Laurel County, KY., moving to Harlan County, Ky., around 1910. He worked the mines around Ages, KY., and Evarts, KY. He was attributed with opening several mines in that area, but there is no documentation of that.
