Edith de was born about 1084 in Of, Sussex, England.1 Edith de's father was William I de Warenne and her mother was Gundrada de Flanders. Her paternal grandparents were Rudolph de Warenne and Emma (Beatrice) de Warenne; her maternal grandfather was Gerbod of St Omer. She had two brothers and a sister, named William II de, Reginald de and Gundred de. She was the second youngest of the four children.General Notes
