Walter (de Clifford) was born in 1127 in Bredelais, Wales.1 Walter (de Clifford)'s father was Richard FitzPons and his mother was Maud FitzWalter. His paternal grandfather was Pons Fitz Pons; his maternal grandparents were Walter FITZROGER and Berthe FITZROGER. He had two brothers and a sister, named Sir Simon, Roger and Bertha (de Clifford). He died at the age of 60 in 1187 in Godstow, Oxfordshire.1 General Notes
