Emma was born about 1059 in Of, Breteuil, Normandy, France.1 Emma's father was William FITZOSBERN and her mother was Adeliza de TONI. Her paternal grandparents were Osbern FitzHerfast and Emma de Ivrea; her maternal grandparents were Robert de TONI and Avice de Clare. She had five brothers named William, Roger de, Ralph, John and Richard. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William le, Maud le, Cicely and Jane le. She died after 1095 in On Crusade.1 General Notes
