William FITZOSBERN 
William was born about 1030 in Of, Poitiers, Poitou, France.1 William's father was Osbern FitzHerfast and his mother was Emma de Ivrea. His paternal grandfather was Herfast de CREPON; his maternal grandparents were Raoul de Ivrea and Albreda de Ivrea. He had a brother and two sisters, named Osbern, Emma and Adeliza. He was the oldest of the four children. He died in ,,Flanders. He was buried in Cormeilles Abbey, France.1 1 General Notes
