Carey Carrie Allen was born in 1836 in ,Marion, Missouri.1 Carey Carrie Allen's father was Tarlton Lee CRANE and his mother was Mary Elizabeth "Polly" BEEDLE. His paternal grandparents were Thomas CRAINE and Theodocia Ann LEE. He had fifteen brothers and three sisters, named George Miller, Thomas Jackson, Zachary Taylor, Robert, William C, King, James, John, Richard H, Calvin, Joel, Silas Harland, Charles B, Nelson Lee "Little Doc", Joseph Lafon, Elizabeth L, Mitilda Porter and Theodosia. He was the third youngest of the nineteen children. He died at the age of 27 in 1863 in Vicksburg, Warren, Mississippi.1 General Notes
