Porter Young

Porter was born in 1858 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Porter's father was Robert Douglas Young and his mother was Emaline Catherine Laughner. His paternal grandparents were Robert Young and Phebe Douglas; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Laughner and Elizabeth Shields. He had a sibling of unknown gender named Young. He had ten half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert Douglas, Arthur, James Harvey, Clinton, William, Douglas, John, McCarty, Luther, Joseph, Sarah, Leah, Margaret and Phebe.
