Mary Jane was born in 1865 in ,Wayne, Illinois.1 Mary Jane's father was Alonzo Withrow and her mother was Mary Or Polly Pennington. Her paternal grandparents were Richardson Withrow and Elizabeth King; her maternal grandparents were Uriah Pennington and Frances Mary Plumlee. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Sylvester, Barnabus Or Barrow D.C., Samuel S., Alonzo Emery, Robert R., Jesse, Anthony J., Elizabeth, Lavina and Elmer R.. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died in 1865 in ,Wayne, Illinois. She was buried in Bailey Cemetary, Wayne, Illinois.1 1 -
