Hal Gillespie Winfrey

Hal Gillespie was born in 1863 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Hal Gillespie's father was Holmes Warren Winfrey and his mother was Lucinda Elkins.  His maternal grandfather was Shaner Elkins. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James Hardin, John Johnson, William L., Henry, Beersheba, Sarah Kate and Sidney.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.
